This painting illustrates the cover of the novel “The Holy Hooker". The title was conceived based on the following historical sarcasm: 

In November 1844 was published "The Holy Family" (German: "Die heilige Familie"), a book written by Karl Marx to criticize the Hegelians who had attempted a critical renovation of Christianity. In this work are enunciated the ideological concepts of what later became known as Marxism, a philosophical component of communist ideology. The foremost title — "The Holy Family" — was added at the suggestion of the book publisher as a sarcastic reference to the theme, hence the subtitle a "Critique of Critical Critique."

160 years later, looking at the effects of Marxism in the New World, Dr. Juan J Prieto Valdés uses a similar sarcasm, titling his political satire, "The Holy Hooker (Sacred Jinetera)"; subtitled "Critique to the Contemporary Revolutionary Procedures". Written in reference to the events occurred in the late twentieth century that attempted to justify Cuban revolution and to renovate the communist ideology in Latin American. The satire resulted in a historical-ideological proposal.
